We recommend bringing infants into the practice when their first tooth erupts or by the time that they turn one – whichever comes first.
Visits to the dentist when young will not only help set your little ones up for good oral health and hygiene into the future but should also hopefully stop any phobias or anxiety from developing.
We’ll also be able to spot any future problems with their teeth in the early stages and either be able to prevent them or do everything we can to treat them speedily.
It’s important to start building good oral hygiene routines at home from an early age. Children should brush their teeth twice a day with a small amount of fluoride toothpaste. As they grow up, we also recommend that older children start to floss to help maintain good gum health.
